Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) Income generating Projects:

The Families, who were displaced during the Post Violence in Kenya early 2008 due to disputed Presidential election, are now starting to get back to their feet. The families lost everything they had owned. They have now benefited from a green house tomato project which was started by VICDA.

The tomatoes are ready and they have been selling them to the neighbours and market in Naivasha. VICDA has set up a second green house tomato project after getting very positive results from the first project.

We are targeting to put up 10 green house tomato projects at this Internally Displaced Persons camp which is located at Mai mahiu in Naivasha District.
